Installation Techniques for Underwater Lights

1、 Choose lighting fixtures
Firstly, for the selection of lamps, attention should be paid to their waterproofing, power supply voltage, and individual lamp power consumption.

2、 Calculate the wire diameter of the cable
Generally, underwater lamps use low-voltage safety voltage, which involves low-voltage and high current power supply, which will affect the voltage drop of the line. The voltage drop at the end of each line must be calculated first, and redundancy must be reserved in advance.

3、 Power supply layout
The isolation transformer and leakage switch providing underwater lights must be placed outside Zone 2 to avoid electric shock.

4、 Reserved cables
Whether it is surface mounted (bracket underwater light) or embedded underwater light installation, a cable length of 0.6 to 1 meter should be retained to avoid future maintenance issues.

5、 Waterproofing and wiring
Wiring and waterproofing work require professional plumbers and decoration work. Usually, the wiring duct is in a waterproof state, and the position of the bottom light is reserved. It can be connected using high-end rubber cables. For safety reasons, grounding should be repeated. Remember to use a leakage short circuit protector.
