Treatment of various algae in swimming pool
Algae that often appear in swimming pools
1. Green algae
This is a relatively common algae. It often floats in the water and makes the water green. Therefore, the adaptability is weak. As long as the water in the swimming pool is super chlorinated (increase the dosage of disinfectant), it can be killed.
2. Xanthophyta
This kind of algae grows well on the pool wall. Most of them grow from a shallow place. It will produce yellowish color on the pool wall. It is easy to be resistant to chemicals. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the algae at one time. Otherwise, it is necessary to change the type of algaecide. Generally, angel blue has a good effect on eliminating this kind of algae when pH = 7.0.
3. Pink algae
It is composed of a group of bacteria called methylacterium (containing Pseudomonas Bacillus) This kind of organism is easy to live on the water level line of the pool surface, often on the pool wall of the swimming pool surface, with colored traces. Because it is between water and air, the effect of using chemicals to kill algae is not good. It is better to use artificial methods, such as brush removal.
4. Blue green algae or black algae
This kind of algae is difficult to entangle. It grows well in the crevices of pool bricks. It is stacked. Its resistance to chlorine can reach 40ppm, which is quite tenacious. Acid pickling is the only choice after all kinds of algicides are ineffective.
Growth conditions of algae in swimming pool
Besides sunlight, water, carbon dioxide and oxygen for respiration and photosynthesis, algae also need nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. In addition to the rich fertilizer brought by natural phenomena such as rain, wind, thunder and dust, the sweat, oil and skin metabolites of swimmers are also the favorite sources of organic nitrogen fertilizer for green plants. Under such suitable conditions, the growth of algae in swimming pool is of course. Only by the prevention of disinfectant in advance and the remedy of algae killer afterwards, can the disaster of algae be avoided. In fact, under the effective disinfection and sterilization conditions, the algae spores can be destroyed or inhibited. If there is algae in the swimming pool, it means that the disinfection and sterilization is not complete or the disinfection and sterilization process is defective. At this time, the elimination of algae is just a dead sheep mending. The real solution is to establish a correct concept of water quality management.
Methods of eliminating algae
1. Remove
a. After manual brushing, algae are removed from the pool water by filtration.
b. The algae are precipitated at the bottom of the pool by using chemicals such as polymeric aluminum chloride, and then removed by suction machine.
2. Direct killing
a. Chemical disinfectants are used to contact algae directly, such as chlorine, ozone, etc. to destroy the sulfhydryl group in the enzyme protein of algae cells and destroy the sulfur bond in the protein, which leads to the death of algae.
b. Ultraviolet radiation can change the gelatinous state of algal cells and make the algae die.
c. Fungicides containing polyamino, such as guanidine, are used to inhibit the growth of algae. In the world, chlorine is completely replaced as disinfectant for swimming pools and massage pools. Once added, water quality can be effectively controlled for a long time. The famous softswim is such kind of disinfectant.
3. Poisoning death
Copper sulfate is a kind of heavy metal salt. The cations of heavy metal generally have certain toxicity to microorganisms, and the toxicity is arranged in the following order:
AG > Hg > Cu > CA > CR > Ni > Pb > co > Zn
Heavy metals are toxic only in ionic state, and molecular state does not play a role in killing. Under normal conditions, some nontoxic cations (such as H +, Ca2 +, Mg2 +, K + and so on) are adsorbed on the surface of bacteria. However, when toxic cations (such as Zn2 +, Cu2 +, Mg2 +, Ag + and so on) exist, they can replace non-toxic ions and adsorb on the surface of bacteria, thus changing the nature of cells. Some heavy metal ions can enter the cells and combine with proteins or enzymes to cause microbial death. The most commonly used heavy metal salt is copper sulfate, which has a particularly good effect on microorganisms with chlorophyll. When the concentration is 3-5mg / L, most algae can be killed. The allowable content of biological treatment is 0.4-0.5mg/l.
The toxic effect of copper ion is due to the fact that the colloids of coagulable cells can form stable chelates with many natural amino acids, including alanine, leucine, lysine and glycine, so that these amino acids lose their normal functions. It is worth mentioning that copper ion is very sensitive to pH and total alkalinity. In the presence of alkaline pH value and carbonate, insoluble copper will quickly form, which will precipitate at the bottom of the pool and cause coloring of the pool body. This can be seen from the green color of the pool tiles. Therefore, copper can produce organic copper and chelated copper which do not precipitate but kill planktonic algae in water, and copper hydroxide and copper sulfate which are easy to precipitate at the bottom of the pool and kill algae at the bottom of the pool. Copper sulfate has both these functions. At the initial stage, copper sulfate dissociates copper ions and kills planktonic algae in water, and at the end forms insoluble copper sulfate and copper hydroxide, killing the bottom and brick Sargassum. Recently, with the research of zinc, zinc electrolysis has been used to kill algae. The advantages of zinc are high solubility, no turbidity and coloring at the bottom of the tank, and the disadvantage is that the algae reduction ability is poor.
Now the new complex copper solution, angel blue, is more likely to invade into algae cells and tissues after complexation, and it is not easy to react with acid and alkali substances, and will not cause fish poisoning and death. Safer, more efficient. It can be widely used in swimming pool, fish pond, aquarium and other places.
