The Floating fountains in Osaka, Japan
This modern fountain seems to float above the artificial lake without any connection with the ground or water surface. Only when the fountain stops working can the design secret be known: when the fountain sprays water, the water is pumped into the carved floating fountain through the vertical pipe, and the pipe cannot be seen when spraying water, so the whole fountain is like floating in the air without gravity.
This fountain full of artistic creativity and exquisite pipeline design is a work designed by California sculptor and landscape architect Yukio Noguchi for the first World Expo held in Japan in 1970. It is gratifying that although the 1970 World Expo with a sense of future has disappeared from the people's memory, Noguchi's works still exist here.
