Code for swimming pool design

A. Water supply inlet

  1. The position of the water supply inlet of a swimming pool shall meet the following requirements:

    a. Quantity should meet the requirement of circulating flow;

    b. The location should be as uniform as possible, without eddy current and dead water in the swimming pool;

    c. When allocating water at the bottom of the pool, it should be evenly arranged in the middle of the marking lines of the two swimming lanes.

    d. When distributing water on the wall of the pool, the spacing should be 2-3 m, and the corner should not be more than 1.5 m from the other wall, and the depth should be 0.5-1.0 m below the surface of the swimming pool;

    e. When diving swimming pool uses wall water distribution, it should set up two-storey feedwater outlets, and the upper and lower feedwater outlets should be set up by mistake. The height of the water supply nozzle from the bottom of the pond should not be less than 0.5m.

   2. The structure of the water supply inlet shall meet the following requirements:

       First, Trumpet Mouthpiece should be adopted, and should not be less than twice the cross                   section of the connecting pipe;

       Second, a grid shall be set up, which shall be made of corrosion-resistant and non-deformed               materials.

       Third, The flow velocity of the grid gap should not be greater than 1.0m/s;

       Forth, Flow regulating devices should be available.

B. Wall return

   1. The position of the wall return of a swimming pool shall meet the following requirements:

       a. Quantity should meet the requirement of circulating flow;

       b. The position should make the water flow in the pond circulate uniformly and do not occur               short flow as far as possible.

       c.  In overflow circulation, overflow backwater trough should be set around or on both sides of             the outside wall of the tank, and its overflow weir must be strictly horizontal.

    2. The structure of wall return shall meet the following requirements:

        a. The area of the backwater nozzle shall not be less than four times the cross-section area of the connecting pipe;

        b. The top surface should be provided with grille cover plate, and the net spacing of grille bars should not exceed 20 mm for adult pool, 15 mm for children pool,

        c. 0.5 m/s for filling velocity of grille pore

        d. The grille cover plate should be made of corrosion-resistant and non-deformable materials.

    3. When the grille cover of the backwater outlet is installed at the bottom of the swimming pool, it must be fixed firmly.

C. Drainage outlet

    1. The swimming pool should set up a drainage outlet at the lowest part of the bottom of the pool. If conditions permit, the drainage outlet should be combined with the backwater outlet;

    2. The drainage outlet should have a grid cover plate whose surface should be equal to the lowest part of the swimming pool; and the structure and material of the grid cover plate of the drainage outlet should conform to the national regulations.

D. Overflow tank

    1. The swimming pool should adopt the pool bank overflow tank;

    2. The design of the overflow tank should meet the following requirements:

        a. The overflow weir should be strictly horizontal.

        b. The width of overflow tank shall not be less than 150 mm. The diameter of the drain pipe in              the tank shall not be less than 50 mm, and the spacing shall not be greater than 3m.

        c. The grille cover plate shall be installed in the pond-bank overflow tank, and its material shall            conform to the national regulations.

E. Foot-soaking disinfection pond

    1. The foot-dipping disinfection pool should be set in the passageway for swimmers to enter the pool, with a length of not less than 2 m and the width of the passageway being the same, and the depth of the disinfection pool should not be less than 0.15 m;

    2. The residual chlorine of the disinfection solution in the foot-dipping disinfection pool should be 5-10 mg/L;

    3. The disinfection solution should be continuously supplied and discharged. If there are difficulties, regular replacement can be used, but the interval should not exceed 4 hours;

    4. If there is a forced shower, the foot-dipping disinfection pool should be set after the forced shower;

    5. The foot-dipping disinfection pool and its piping should be made of corrosion-resistant materials.

F. Forced Shower and Waist Disinfection Pool

    1. Public swimming pools should try to set up compulsory shower and waist-soaking disinfection pools in swimmers'entrance passage;

        A. The length of compulsory shower passage should be 2-3m;

        B. The effective length of waist-soaking disinfection pool should not be less than 1m, and the effective depth should be 0.6-0.9m.

    2. The water quality of compulsory shower should conform to the current Hygienic Standard for Drinking Water. The water temperature should be 35-38 degrees, but the normal temperature water can be used in summer, and the amount of water can be calculated according to the number of sprinklers.

    3. The residual chlorine in the waist-soaking disinfection pool should be determined according to the following regulations:

    A. The location should not be less than 5 mg/L after the compulsory shower;

    B. The position should not be less than 50 mg/L before forced shower.
