Advantages and disadvantages of chlorine disinfection for villa swimming pool equipment

One of the important characteristics of chlorine disinfection is that Bai can keep an appropriate amount of residual chlorine in the disinfected pool water. In this way, the pool water which is constantly polluted by human body can be continuously disinfected in the process of using the pool water. Generally, the residual chlorine content of swimming pool water should be 0.4-0.6mg/l. In addition, in order to ensure the efficiency of disinfectant without causing surface corrosion of equipment and swimming pool, the relative pH and pH value of water in swimming pool should be kept between 7.4 and 7.6.

Advantage

(1) The sterilization effect is good;

(2) It has continuous disinfection function.

Shortcoming

(1) It is odorous and irritating to eyes and respiratory tract;

(2) It has corrosive effect on pool structure, equipment and pipeline;

(3) The requirement of operation management level is high, otherwise safety accidents will occur.

The outstanding advantages of chlorination disinfection are the continuous disinfection of residual chlorine, low price, simple operation and no need of huge equipment. But chlorine itself is poisonous, so we must pay attention to safety and prevent leakage. In addition, after chlorine disinfection, water often produces a variety of harmful substances, especially the disinfection by-products, such as chloroform, chloroacetic acid and so on. In addition, liquid chlorine can not effectively kill Cryptosporidium and its cysts. Therefore, chlorine disinfection, as an auxiliary disinfection method, is often used in swimming pool disinfection together with other disinfection methods.

Chlorination disinfection by dosing method and electrolytic chlorine generator

Dosing method

The method of adding chemicals is usually chlorine disinfectant

(1) Liquid chlorine

(2) Calcium hypochlorite (bleach)

(3) Sodium hypochlorite (high efficiency bleaching powder, bleaching water)

(4) Sodium dichloroisocyanurate

(5) Trichloroisocyanuric acid

(6) BROMOCHLOROHYDANTOIN (bromine tablets)

(7) Chlorine dioxide

In order to ensure the regular and quantitative dosing of disinfectant, a dosing system can also be installed in the swimming pool. The general public swimming pool is equipped with dosage pump and dosing bucket. The high-grade swimming pool can also be equipped with automatic water quality monitoring dosing system controlled by computer. According to the 8-hour cycle of swimming pool water, the configuration of dosing system can be determined according to the water volume of the swimming pool. For small swimming pool and massage pool, automatic dosing device can be installed. In addition, the swimming pool can also be equipped with a water quality monitoring colorimetric analysis box, which can quickly and accurately measure the residual chlorine and pH value of the swimming pool water at any time, so as to ensure the accurate dosing.

Electrolytic chlorine generator method

This method does not directly put chlorine disinfectant into the pool water, but produces chlorine by electrolyzing brine. When the pool water after adding salt flows through the salt chlorine generator, the salt solution is electrolyzed into pure chlorine in the electrolyzer, and the chlorine gas is dissolved in water and converted into sodium hypochlorite. After flowing back to the swimming pool through the water circulation system, the swimming pool is disinfected to keep the water clean, safe and hygienic.
